Class Readmit Procedures
If a student needs to be dropped from a class due to excessive absences the faculty member will:
- Submit the online drop form
Student will receive automated email indicating the drop. If the student seeks readmission to the class the student will:
- Communicate with the instructor and request readmission
Correct procedure for the instructor:
IF the student meets Criteria #1: This student does NOT have to contact the Dean.
Criteria #1:
- Passing the Course
- Can be successful in course - but needs a "wake up call"
- Has Excessive Tardiness
- Has continued to come to class
- No-Show - marked in Error
An instructor may submit an email requesting a readmit to the Appropriate Dean that states the following information:
- Subject line of email RE: must say READMIT
- CRN of class
- Student Name and ID Number
*All students approved will be readmitted with no
additional absences.*
*If readmittance is denied the faculty member will be notified for the
student to contact the Dean.*
IF the student meets the Criteria #2: - This student MUST contact the Dean.
Criteria #2:
- Failing the Course
- Will not be successful in the course
- Missed Tests
- Behavioral Issues
- No textbooks
IF it is a 2nd drop for excessive absence -The student MUST see the Dean.
*The Deans will review all Readmit requests daily for Approval.*
