Class Readmit Procedures

If a student needs to be dropped from a class due to excessive absences the faculty member will:

  1. Submit the online drop form

Student will receive automated email indicating the drop. If the student seeks readmission to the class the student will:

  1. Communicate with the instructor and request readmission

Correct procedure for the instructor:

IF the student meets Criteria #1: This student does NOT have to contact the Dean.

Criteria #1:

  1. Passing the Course
  2. Can be successful in course - but needs a "wake up call"
  3. Has Excessive Tardiness
  4. Has continued to come to class
  5. No-Show - marked in Error

An instructor may submit an email requesting a readmit to the Appropriate Dean that states the following information:

  1. Subject line of email RE: must say READMIT
  2. CRN of class
  3. Student Name and ID Number

*All students approved will be readmitted with no additional absences.*
*If readmittance is denied the faculty member will be notified for the student to contact the Dean.*

IF the student meets the Criteria #2: - This student MUST contact the Dean.

Criteria #2:

  1. Failing the Course
  2. Will not be successful in the course
  3. Missed Tests
  4. Behavioral Issues
  5. No textbooks

IF it is a 2nd drop for excessive absence -The student MUST see the Dean.

*The Deans will review all Readmit requests daily for Approval.*
