Itawamba Community College presented College Solutions Opportunities Sessions on the Tupelo campus, June 27 and 28, for students who are having difficulty making college a reality.
"ICC realizes the hardships placed on families during these difficult economic times," said Buddy Collins, director of Student Life. "Transportation, housing and the increased cost of living create challenges for all of us."
During the sessions ICC personnel discussed the following:
- Creative scheduling
- Alternative housing options
- Financial aid
- Admissions procedures
- Business office issues
- Shuttle services between the Fulton and Tupelo campuses
"Challenging times force students today to find alternative solutions," said ICC President David C. Cole. "One of our goals is to present housing options to students and their parents."
"ICC wants to assist families in exploring caring, creative solutions that will ease some of these burdens," Collins said.
