Withdrawal Grading Policy
Introduction:
Itawamba Community College uses a nationally recognized grading system to denote
the quality of a student's work upon completion of a course. All students
pursuing a course of study and enrolled in such courses at the end of a semester
are given a grade of A, B, C, D, F, I, IP or Z. Should a student withdraw or be
dropped in a course prior to the end of a semester, the following grading policy
will apply.
Withdrawal Grading Policy:
It is the student's responsibility to officially withdraw from college.
The student may initiate the withdrawal by completing a Withdrawal Form in the
Student Affairs Office on either the Fulton or Tupelo campuses. The
student's advisor or an administrative official of the college may drop a
student who fails to officially withdraw from college. Students who
withdraw or are dropped prior to final examinations will be given a "W" grade
for the courses they are enrolled in. If withdrawal occurs during final
examination yet prior to course completion, the student will be given a grade
for all courses he/she is enrolled in by the instructor based upon the
coursework completed as of the date of the withdrawal.
