COLLEGE WORK-STUDY

  1. Complete the Free Application for FEDERAL STUDENT AID (FAFSA) online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.  ICC's school code for the FAFSA is 002409.
  2. First time applicants complete the ICC Financial Aid Application.  Returning applicants complete the work-study application.
  3. Applications are available for the next school year after January 1. Information from income tax forms for the previous year will be needed. Apply as early as possible. Priority deadline is April 30.
  4. It is the student's responsibility to report to the Financial Aid Office for a job assignment. The student will be given an interview letter, which must be signed by the supervisor of the department in which the student will be working and returned to the Financial Aid Office.
  5. If student does not meet assigned responsibilities, then the student worker is terminated.
  6. Student is placed in a second job, if possible.
  7. If the second job does not work out, the student is terminated.

  9. Students are paid hourly; they are paid only for hours worked, and must record their time worked on time sheets or cards.
  10. The Student Employment Interview Letter contains the maximum amount the student may make per semester and other student responsibilities.
  11. Students earn approximately $750-$1000 per semester and approximately $1200 for summer employment.

INSTITUTIONAL WORK

What is the Institutional Work Program? ICC makes available funds for campus jobs for those students who are unable to qualify for the College Work-Study Program. This program provides part-time employment at ICC with the student's work schedule built around his/her academic schedule.
