Tupelo Campus
The
Health Information Technology program prepares the individual to work as a
technical specialist in health record systems. The
Health Information Technology program prepares graduates to write the national
certification exam to become an RHIT (Registered Health Information
Technician). Upon
successful completion of the program, the student is awarded an Associate of
Applied Science degree in Health Information Technology.
The mission of the Health Information Technology Program at Itawamba Community College is to prepare graduates with the knowledge and skills to attain the versatile roles in the area of health information and to develop the attitudes and principles which will encourage lifelong learning in a fast-changing profession.
