Rick Collier
Head Baseball Coach

Rick Collier starts his sixth year as head baseball coach. Last season, his injury riddled Indians finished one game out of first place, which halted a school record four straight north division championships. His ’07 Indians finished 38-17, including defeating the number one, number two and number eight ranked teams in the country in a four day stretch at the Region 23 tournament. Despite that incredible run, ICC finished runner-up at the regional for the second straight spring.

Collier, a former all-American at Itawamba, sports a career record of 211-74, which is nearly a .740 winning percentage. Also, his program has enjoyed winning two regionals, one super regional and one state title. Other firsts include a 2003 appearance in the JUCO World Series and a school record for wins (46) and consecutive wins (22).

Collier is a graduate of Delta State University, where he earned a master’s degree in education. A native of Mantachie, he is married to the former Stephanie Stone of Tremont. They are the parents of a three-year old son, Stone.
