CLAUDE FAULKNER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is for $150, and is given by the Computer Programming and Networking Association in memory of Claude M. Faulkner. The scholarship is awarded annually to a deserving Itawamba Community College sophomore. The recipient will be selected by the Computer Programming and Networking Association based upon academic achievement during his/her freshman year at ICC. Other qualities that the scholarship is based on include: leadership ability, financial need, and major in Computer Information Systems Technology at ICC-Tupelo.
CLAUDE FAULKNER
Claude M. Faulkner was born on December 28, 1937. He worked at Malone & Hyde for 17-18 years in the computer area. He began teaching night classes at ICC before leaving Malone & Hyde to teach full time. Mr. Faulkner taught computer classes at ICC for 20 years. He died on March 4, 1989 from a heart attack. His life consisted of helping others, and was very devoted to his church, family, and career. Claude M. Faulkner was greatly loved by the administration, faculty, and students of ICC. Many lives were touched and inspired by his man's ability to teach by example, and this scholarship serves as a way to keep his memory alive.
