Where are they now?

2007 – 2008

Congratulations to David Schumaker who has signed to play at Atlanta Christian College next year.  David leaves ICC holding most of the offensive records for this school, most notably being goals, assists, and points in a season.  This past season Schumaker was chosen as NJCAA Player of the Week as well as being voted Region 23 Player of the Year.  “David was one of the best offensive players I have ever had the pleasure to coach and on top of what he could do on the field he was a great young man off the field, he will be sorely missed here next year”, said Coach Mike Sullivan.  David was at the top or near the top all season long in the national offensive categories and I am sure he will continue that trend at Atlanta Christian.  They are getting a great player and I know he will do well next year for them.

Congratulations to Kriton Vogel who has signed to play at Belhaven University next year.  Kriton leaves ICC holding numerous school records for goalkeeping and was consistently in the top 30 in the nation all year long in goalkeeping statistics.  This past season Vogel was voted all-state and also was awarded Distinguished Academic All-American status.  “Kriton had a season in the goal like I have never seen, he was absolutely fantastic in the goal, we had a great team but when we didn’t play our best Kriton kept us in the match making one unbelievable save after another,” said Coach Mike Sullivan.  We are really going to miss him next year but I know that Belhaven is getting a quality player and I would expect to see him in their starting line-up sooner rather than later.

2006 - 2007

Morgan Weatherford signs with Delta State University

Congratulations to Morgan Weatherford, who has signed to play at Delta State University next season. Morgan was a two year starter at ICC and was one of the most valuable players we had over those two seasons. "I have had coaches ask me to talk about Morgan and I always tell them he plays way above his size,” said Indians head coach Mike Sullivan. “Morgan played central midfield for us here at ICC and at his size you wouldn’t think he would be as effective as he was in that role. But he was one of the toughest players I’ve ever had and I’ll really miss being able to write his name down on the board to start at central midfield next year. I am certain that Morgan will do well at DSU because he will fight as hard as anyone to get in that starting line-up, I think Coach Allen will be very happy with him next year."

2005-06

Luke Stanford with Delta State University

Congratulations to Luke Stanford who has signed to play at Delta State University next season.  Luke was a two-year starter at ICC, team captain, and team M.V.P. this past season.  "Luke will be sorely missed next season because of everything he brought to this team, it was a privilege to coach him and I know that he will do well at Delta State next season, " said Coach Mike Sullivan.  Luke is the son of Ms. Dale Stanford.

2004-05

Mcgeown Signs with Belhaven College.

Congratulations to Michael Mcgeown as the two-year ICC team captain signed with Belhaven College in Jackson.  “I had two good years playing for Coach (Mike) Sullivan at Itawamba,” said Mcgeown right after he signed. “I had a great time at ICC and I’m looking forward to the upcoming season at Belhaven.”  Last year's Indian MVP was a 2005 All-Region 23 selection and he finished his career at Itawamba Community College with 7 goals and 10 assists.  “I’m really excited that Michael will be continuing his collegiate career here in Mississippi,” said the ICC fourth-year head coach. "He'll be sorely missed not only for his soccer skills but his leadership, as well. I've never coached a kid that wanted to win more than Michael."

2003-04

Kellum Signs with Delta State University

Congratulations to “Scooter” Kellum who has signed a national letter of intent to play for Delta State University next year. Scooter also won the “Indian Award” at the soccer banquet this year. “Scooter always gave you absolutely everything he had every game no matter what the score of the game was. It was a privilege for me to coach him and I know he will do well at Delta State”, said Coach Mike Sullivan. Scooter started every game both seasons. He is the son of Edward and Natalie Kellum of Amory.
