What Is Needed to Purchase Books
Before purchasing books, it is recommended that students attend class first. To aid in purchasing textbooks students should bring their schedule with them. This helps ensure the bookstore staff gives the student the correct book for his or her class.
Methods of Purchase
Students may purchase books using cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, and financial aid. The financial aid account can include scholarships, loans, grants, and any other type of educational assistance. This money is deposited into an account that students may access using their student ID or driver's license. Before using financial aid in the Bookstore, students may first need to verify their account balance in the Business Office.
For online purchasing of books, Visa and MasterCard are the only forms of payment that are available at this time. Books may be purchased online at www.iccmsbookstore.com.
Financial Aid Deadlines
During the fall and spring semester students generally have six weeks to use this account. During the summer term they have about two weeks.
Buy Back Policy
During the first six weeks of a regular semester a textbook can be returned with a receipt and a drop slip. During the first and second weeks full price of the textbook will be received, third and fourth weeks receiving $3 retail, and receiving half price the fifth and sixth weeks. After the sixth week, a student cannot return a book until the buyback at the end of the semester. The textbook will only be bought back at the buyback if there is a need for the textbook. Workbooks, lab manuals, and other types of textbooks are non-returnable. If a student returns a new textbook that was wrapped in plastic, he/she will receive only the full used price..
Books must be in resalable condition. If pages are missing, falling out, or torn, or if the books have been wet, they are not returnable. If there is excessive writing the bookstore may refuse to buy a book. Students must return everything that came with the textbooks (i.e. disks, CDs, or any extra booklets that may have accompanied the text).
