Counseling Services
Counseling Services at Itawamba Community College are designed to provide a comprehensive group of resources for prospective and current students. Counselors are available on both the Fulton and Tupelo campuses of ICC and are located in the Student Services Building on each campus. No appointment is needed and services are offered on a walk-in basis. The goal of the counselors at ICC is to help students make good informed decisions and to benefit from the personal, social, career, and educational opportunities available to them. Services provided by ICC counselors include assistance in:
- Admission to ICC and special programs
- Helping students become knowledgeable about scholarship opportunities and how to obtain those scholarships
- Course advising and educational planning
- Career exploration through individual career counseling
- Comprehensive testing services which include career, personality, and ability tests
- Individual counseling
- Retention counseling
- Counseling for drug and alcohol problems or referral for treatment
- Outreach services through workshops or presentations with student groups
- Orientation sessions or classes
- Disability services
