Innovative Scheduling

In an effort to allow for physical distancing in the classrooms and assist with enhanced cleaning procedures, courses will be taught using one of the following innovative methods. These instructional methods ensure that all students who signed up for a face to face class will have 50% or more of that class taught face to face each week.  A student’s schedule will list the instructional method for the class in which he or she is enrolled.  Below are the four methods with the codes and definitions and they are subject to change based on Covid-19 impacts:

Face-to-Face Only (F2FO)

  • Course is taught in a traditional face-to-face format on Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday.

Face-to-Face Hybrid (F2FH)

  • Course is taught in both a traditional face-to-face format with required online assignments due each Sunday.
  • Courses offered on Monday/Wednesday and Tuesday/Thursday.
  • For a Monday/Wednesday schedule:
    • Students with last name beginning with A-M meet face-to-face on Monday and have a weekly online assignment.
    • Students with last name beginning with N-Z meet face-to-face on Wednesday and have a weekly online assignment.
  • For a Tuesday/Thursday schedule:
    • Students with last name beginning with A-M meet face-to-face on Tuesday and have a weekly online assignment.
    • Students with last name beginning with N-Z meet face-to-face on Thursday and have a weekly online assignment.

Face-to-Face Zoom (F2FZ)

  • Course is taught in a traditional face-to-face format with required Zoom livestreaming attendance.
  • Courses offered on Monday/Wednesday and Tuesday/Thursday.
  • For a Monday/Wednesday schedule:
    • Students with last name beginning with A-M meet face-to-face on Monday and meet via Zoom livestreaming on Wednesday of each week.
    • Students with last name beginning with N-Z meet face-to-face on Wednesday and meet via Zoom livestreaming on Monday of each week.
  • For a Tuesday/Thursday schedule:
    • Students with last name beginning with A-M meet face-to-face on Tuesday and meet via Zoom livestreaming on Thursday of each week.
    • Students with last name beginning with N-Z meet face-to-face on Thursday and meet via Zoom livestreaming on Tuesday of each week.

Online Only (OO)

  • Course is taught solely online via eLearning.
