High School Student
Dual credit programs allow high school students to enroll in college courses to earn credit toward a postsecondary diploma.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Will be classified as a high school junior or senior as listed in Appendix B of the Mississippi Public School Accountability Standards or have a minimum composite ACT score of 30.
- Have a minimum overall high school GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale as documented by an official high school transcript on all high school courses and
- Obtain an unconditional letter of recommendation from high school guidance counselor, principal or principal’s designee by submitting a dual enrollment request in myTribe for approval after applying for admission to ICC.
WHEN TO APPLY
- If you are taking courses through your high school, check with your counselor for admission deadlines.
- Students taking dual enrollment courses at an ICC location or online should refer to the college academic calendar located at www.iccms.edu/events for registration times.
HOW TO APPLY
- Apply for admission online at apply.iccms.edu by following the steps provided in the application guide below.
- Submit dual enrollment request in myTribe for approval.
- Submit ACT scores if required for admission to the program or as a special requirement for individual courses.
- Provide official college transcripts from other institutions where dual credit coursework was taken.
