Employment Services

Itawamba Community College’s comprehensive one-stop center offers a range of career services designed to prepare individuals for employment while connecting employers with a skilled and job-ready workforce.

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) provides the framework for Itawamba Community College’s workforce development efforts by strengthening alignment among employment, training and education programs to meet the needs of both job seekers and regional employers. WIOA requires the incorporation of sector strategies into workforce planning, including regional coordination and alignment with local labor market needs for in-demand sectors and occupations.

These services are provided through the WIN Job Center located at ICC-Belden Center and are delivered in partnership with the Mississippi Department of Employment Security, Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation Services and the Mississippi Department of Human Services to support placement and employment outcomes. As a WIOA service provider, the College also engages additional community partners and strategic alliances to ensure services are accessible, flexible and responsive to individual participant needs while supporting long-term economic growth and workforce development.
