A Place to Learn, Play and Grow

The ICC Early Learning Center provides a safe, nurturing and engaging preschool experience for potty-trained children ages 3 to 5. With locations at ICC’s Fulton and Tupelo campuses, the Early Learning Center serves families from ICC and the surrounding community.

Through purposeful play, hands-on activities and age-appropriate instruction, children develop the academic, social and emotional skills needed for a successful transition to kindergarten.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

At the ICC Early Learning Center, we believe children learn best through active exploration, meaningful play and positive relationships. Each classroom provides developmentally appropriate experiences designed to encourage curiosity, creativity, independence and a lifelong love of learning.

Our program supports each child’s growth in the following areas:

  • Early literacy and language development
  • Foundational mathematics and problem-solving
  • Social and emotional development
  • Creative arts, music and movement
  • Fine and gross motor skills
  • Kindergarten readiness
  • Cooperation, responsibility and self-confidence
  • Indoor and outdoor play

The Early Learning Center also supports ICC’s Early Childhood Education Technology program by providing supervised opportunities for college students to observe and participate in high-quality early childhood learning environments.

TUITION AND PAYMENT

Tuition is $125 per week beginning August 2026. Payment is due at the beginning of each month. A weekly or bi-weekly payment can be setup if communicated and approved by the director. Additional information about payment methods, holidays, scheduled closures and other financial policies will be provided upon acceptance to the ELC.

HOW TO APPLY

1. Complete the online application

Submit one application for each child seeking enrollment. Families may indicate their preferred campus on the online application.

2. Application review

Early Learning Center staff will review the application and confirm that the child meets the program’s age and potty-training requirements.

3. Placement notification

Families will be contacted regarding placement or waiting-list status at the beginning of the first month of the applying semester. Submitting an application does not guarantee enrollment.

4. Complete enrollment requirements

Families offered placement will receive an enrollment packet with the required health records, emergency contacts, authorized pickup information, permissions and other documents that must be completed before the child’s first day.

Yes. Children must be fully potty-trained before attending the Early Learning Center.
Yes. Families from ICC and the surrounding community may apply.
Both locations are open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. during the academic year, excluding designated holidays, closures and summer months.
The Early Learning Center currently operates during the academic year. ICC is exploring the possibility of offering a summer childcare program in the future.
Tuition is $125 per week beginning August 2026. A $50 registration fee is required once a child is accepted. Specialized field trip costs, etc. may be applicable throughout the year.
Yes. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are included throughout the day for students.
Placement is based on eligibility and available classroom space and. If space is unavailable, the child may be placed on a waiting list.

Families offered placement will be asked to provide required enrollment documents, which may include:

  • Mississippi Certificate of Immunization Compliance
  • Emergency contact information
  • Authorized pickup information
  • Medical and allergy information
  • Required permissions and acknowledgments
No. Applications are reviewed according to eligibility requirements and available space. A Center representative will notify the family when a placement decision has been made.

The Early Learning Center generally follows ICC’s closure decisions. Families will receive updates through parent communication.
Parents of enrolled children will receive official Center communications through a classroom group messaging application as well as one-on-one messaging. Each classroom will also have a private social media group managed by authorized Early Learning Center personnel.
