Itawamba Community College is an open admission, two-year public-supported institution dedicated to providing high quality educational opportunities that are accessible and affordable for the diverse needs of Chickasaw, Itawamba, Lee, Monroe and Pontotoc counties.
Itawamba Community College is an open admission, comprehensive, publicly-supported two-year institution primarily serving Chickasaw, Itawamba, Lee, Monroe and Pontotoc counties, while also being responsive to the instructional and economic development needs of the region.
Candidates for admission to academic, technical or vocational programs may be admitted by diploma - students are required to present an official transcript from a high school accredited by the appropriate state or regional accreditation association; by completing the appropriate number of Carnegie units; by successfully completing the GED test - students are required to have an official copy of the GED transcript mailed to the Registrar/Director of Admissions; by advanced standing (college transfer students). Students graduating without a regular diploma (Occupational Diploma or Special Education Diploma) must successfully complete the GED test in order to be eligible for admission to Itawamba Community College. Some technical programs may have selective criteria for admission.
