PROGRAM OVERVIEW
THE PROGRAM
Robotics and Automation Technology is an instructional program that provides the student with technical knowledge and skills necessary for gaining employment as an automated technician in maintenance diagnostics, engineering or production in an automated manufacturing environment. The focus of this program is on electricity/electronics, fluid power, motors and controllers, programmable controls, interfacing techniques, instrumentation and automated processes. Successful completion of the 63-hour program entitles an individual to receive an Associate of Applied Science degree. Students can also earn a 30-hour career certificate and a 45-hour technical certificate.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Admission to the College does not guarantee enrollment in any specific course or program. Selective admission programs have a limited number of openings each year and have specific entry-level admission requirements that must be met before selection for admission to the program. Those who wish to apply must complete an online selective admission application for the Robotics and Automation Technology program and have taken the ACT.
Students must have an ACT score of 13 or greater and be currently enrolled or have a recent admissions application to apply for Career Education programs. Completion of an ICC online admissions application is required to begin the program-specific application process. Check this page after your admissions application has been processed.
The selective admission application for this program is available from November 1-May 30 of each year for the following fall semester.
