As an online student at ICC, there are many policies of which you should be aware to make sure you have the best possible experience with your classes. Use the links below to explore some of the important policies pertaining to online instruction at Itawamba Community College.

Online classes at ICC require students to complete at least one major assignment in a proctored environment, which helps to ensure the integrity of our programs and provide an opportunity for summative assessment at the course level. Online students must complete their proctored testing requirements via onsite proctoring at an approved testing location.

Download the Proctored Testing handout to review departmental guidelines and instructions. More information about specific proctored testing course requirements are also within each course’s Canvas modules.

Students planning to take a proctored test at an ICC lab should follow the guidelines below:

  • Make an appointment 48 hours prior to your desired testing date.
  • Bring a photo ID to the testing site.
  • Do not bring cell phones, purses or other materials to your seat while testing. It will be considered a cheating offense if the items are in your possession.
  • Children and other visitors are not allowed in the testing facility.
  • Children are not allowed to be unattended in the building.

Be advised that your computer will be monitored during testing. See the Academic Honesty Policy for testing policies and procedures.

To schedule an appointment for a proctored test, select the SmarterProctoring button in your course.
