UPSKILL MID-SOUTH LAUNCHES TRAINING PROGRAM FOR REGIONAL WORKFORCE
Upskill Mid-South is introducing a new initiative to provide targeted training programs aimed at supporting unemployed and underemployed individuals across a 42-county tri-state region. This program is designed to address critical workforce needs.
In collaboration with Itawamba Community College and the Three Rivers Planning and Development District, Upskill Mid-South is offering financial assistance for short-term career training tuition costs for Commercial Truck Driving, Electrician Assistant, Google IT, Residential Carpentry Assistant, and Welding at ICC.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- 18 years of age or older
- A U.S. Citizen or eligible non-citizen with authorization to work in the U.S.
- Comply with the Military Selective Service Act registration provisions
- Reside in one of the 14 eligible counties, which include, Alcorn, Benton, DeSoto, Lafayette, Lee, Marshall, Panola, Pontotoc, Prentiss, Tate, Tippah, Tishomingo, Tunica or Union
- Are either unemployed or underemployed (working less than 30 hours a week OR pay rate less than $20/hour)
