PROGRAM OVERVIEW
THE PROGRAM
The Hospitality Management online program provides specialized occupational instruction in all phases of hotel and restaurant management to prepare students for careers as managers and supervisors in the hotel and restaurant industry. Upon completion of the two-year curriculum, the student is awarded an Associate of Applied Science degree in Hospitality Management Technology. Successful completion of the first 30 hours in the selected discipline entitles the individual to receive a Career Certificate.

THE PROFESSION
Graduates are eligible to obtain MangeFirst Certification from the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation, certifications from the Educational Institute of the American Hotel and Lodging Association in Specialized Food and Beverage Management and/or Hospitality Operations and ServSafe® Sanitation certification from the National Restaurant Association. According to the Mississippi Department of Employment Security, the entry-level wage for hospitality management technicians is $32,040, and those with experience can earn an average of $62,570.
