SGA

Student Government Association (SGA)

The Student Government Association (SGA) is the official student leadership organization of Itawamba Community College. The SGA provides students with opportunities to develop leadership skills, represent the interests of the student body, and actively participate in campus life. Working collaboratively with college administration, faculty, staff, and fellow students, the SGA promotes student engagement, school spirit, service, and a positive campus community.

The SGA serves as an advisory voice for students by identifying student concerns, offering recommendations related to campus life, and encouraging open communication between students and the College. In addition, the SGA sponsors and supports student activities, promotes involvement in campus organizations, and encourages ethical leadership, integrity, and responsible citizenship.

Each of ICC's Fulton and Tupelo campuses has its own Student Government Association consisting of elected student leaders. Four executive officers are elected during the spring semester, and student representatives are elected during the fall semester to serve the student body for the academic year.

The Student Government Association:

  • Represents the interests and concerns of the student body.
  • Serves as an advisory body to the College administration on matters affecting student life.
