Transfer Scholarship
Students who have an ACT score within the Achievement Scholarship range may be eligible for a transfer scholarship if they meet the following guidelines. Students may be awarded the scholarship based on semesters of eligibility remaining.
- Must be within two years (four academic semesters) of high school graduation
- Must be meeting a 3.0 grade point average requirement from all college transfer work
- Must not have completed a college degree
- Must also be meeting the requirements listed below
Scholarship Requirements
The following items are requirements for Achievement, Career Education, Transfer, and Performance Scholarships.
- Scholarships are available for four consecutive semesters immediately following high school graduation and may be used during the fall and spring semesters only.
- Students must enroll in and successfully complete a minimum of 15 credit hours each semester to maintain scholarship eligibility.
- Achievement, Career Education, and Transfer Scholarships: Students must successfully complete at least 15 credit hours and earn a minimum 3.0 term GPA each semester. Recipients must also have completed at least 30 cumulative credit hours with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA by the end of the second semester and 45 cumulative credit hours with a minimum 3.0 GPA by the end of the third semester to maintain eligibility.
- Performance Scholarships: Students must successfully complete at least 15 credit hours and earn a minimum of 2.0 term GPA each semester to maintain eligibility.
- If a scholarship recipient drops below 15 credit hours during the first six weeks of the semester, the scholarship will be forfeited for that semester.
- Scholarships must be used toward tuition, campus housing (residence hall), and the 15-meal plan as applicable. Scholarships do not cover books, fees, or out-of-state tuition charges unless otherwise specified.
- The maximum institutional scholarship award is $4,300 per semester for residence hall students and $1,650 per semester for commuter students.
- International students are not eligible for these scholarships. Institutional awarded to out-of-state students may not exceed the amount that could be awarded to a Mississippi resident, except as permitted under applicable athletic scholarship regulations.
- Achievement and Career Education Scholarships are institutional scholarships and are subject to ICC policies governing institutionally funded scholarships.
- Career Education Scholarships are considered Achievement Scholarships for awarding purposes. Students who qualify for both will receive the scholarship with the greater value; the two awards cannot be combined. An Achievement or Career Education Scholarship may be combined with an eligible Performance Scholarship, subject to institutional scholarship limits.
- Students must complete an application for admission before scholarship awards can be finalized.
