QEP Development

Development

The development of the QEP extended over 20 months from October 2015 to May 2017.  The institutional process was directly related to planning efforts and involved a wide range of constituents including faculty, staff, students, area civic and leadership groups, district employers and community partners. The development process was created by faculty, staff and students representing the diverse populations at the three locations and the breadth of programs and services provided by the College.  The intent of the QEP is to reach 2,300 students or 41 percent of the student population over the course of five years to make a significant impact on improving reading comprehension.  Data shows that 63 percent of ICC students enrolled during the fall semester score below College Ready in Reading based on ACT® Reading sub scores and benchmarks.

There were 64 individuals directly involved in the development of the QEP across five QEP committees, including 10 students, 27 instructors and 27 staff and administrators.
