General 0 Connect2ICC will provide an opportunity for students to register for the fall semester at Itawamba Community College from 8:30-11 a.m., Aug. 12, in the Student Support Center at the Tupelo Campus. The session is designed for current and returning students, high school equivalency graduates, adult learners and transfer students. Academic advising, online orientation, scholarships and financial aid representatives will be available to provide assistance. Individuals who are 23 or older and not enrolled in college for the previous two years can also apply for the Adult Learner Incentive Scholarship, which provides half-tuition for one semester. Criteria for selection include Mississippi resident, enrollment in a minimum of six semester hours, meeting admission requirements and in good standing with ICC. The scholarship cannot be combined with other ICC institutional scholarships. Traditional day classes begin Aug. 14, and eLearning classes, Aug. 21. ICC offers academic, career and technical, eLearning (online) and workforce training classes. Locations include the Fulton Campus, Tupelo Campus and the Belden Center. Dates and times include Aug. 9 from 4:30-7 p.m., Aug. 10 from 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m., Aug. 11 from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and Aug. 12 from 8:30-11:30 a.m. in the Student Support Center at the Tupelo Campus; Aug. 10-11 from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. in the Administration Building at the Fulton Campus. It is possible to register for fall semester classes through Aug. 18 for traditional classes and the August eight-week traditional accelerated term; Aug. 22 for the August eight-week eLearning accelerated term and Aug. 25 for full-term eLearning classes, but a late registration fee of $15 will be assessed. ICC ranks among leaders in state enrollment for 2025 fall semester Itawamba Community College ranks among the leaders in the state in enrollment, according to figures released this week by the Mississippi Community College Board. ICC currently shows a 2 percent increase in headcount and a 3.5 percent increase for full-time enrollment from fall 2024 to fall 2025. Most importantly, figures show a 14 percent increase in enrollment since fall 2021, a four-year consecutive enrollment increase. ICC remains the fifth largest community college out of 15 with more than 5,300 credit students enrolled. The continuing increase can be attributed to multiple factors, according to ICC President Dr. Jay Allen. They include recent additional housing opportunities tailored to student needs, including the addition of 240-capacity Magnolia Hall, exclusively for student leaders, and reopening of both Sheffield and Monroe Halls last fall with spaces designed to accommodate the ICC student of today as well as an enhanced emphasis on activities.
