ICC celebrates relocation of Aberdeen adult education class with open house

Itawamba Community College celebrated the relocation of its Aberdeen adult education classes with an open house, Nov. 14.

Aberdeen Mayor Charles Scott expressed appreciation to Teresa Reid, owner of the Aspire Group, the new location, for providing building space and computers for the adult education class. He said that the partnership will provide more opportunities for the people of Aberdeen.

Monroe County Sheriff Kevin Crook agreed, saying he is “very interested in the program, especially providing opportunities for inmates.”

“The transition to this center not only creates but expands partnerships, providing another location in Monroe County,” said ICC President Dr. Jay Allen.

The class meets Mondays and Tuesdays from 5-8 p.m. at 110 East Commerce Street. There is no cost.
