General 0 Officers of Itawamba Community College’s Foundation Board of Directors have begun their 2024 term. They include Ronnie Boozer of Aberdeen; Julie Randle, Jerry Reese, both of Amory; Tommy Chamblee, Dr. Jason Digby, both of Fulton; vice chair Rayburn Parks of Houston; Beth Cleveland of Kingwood, Tex.; chair Buddy Montgomery, immediate past chair Jerry Robbins, Chuck Howell, all of Pontotoc; Teresa Hooker of Thaxton; secretary Mark Burleson, Juanita Floyd, Rubye Del Harden, Ernest Joyner, Buzzy Mize and Dr. Dick White, all of Tupelo. College representatives are Dr. Jay Allen, President, and Sandi South, vice president of Business Services, both of Fulton; Jim Ingram of Tupelo, director of the ICC Foundation, Inc.; and Michael Upton of Mooreville, director of Advancement. Related Articles ICC Foundation Board adds three new members Three new members have been elected to the board of directors of the Itawamba Community College Foundation, Inc. They include Brad Stevens of Smithville; Lee Tucker of Tupelo; and Liz Weseli of Amory. Stevens serves as Regional Executive Officer/Business Development for Community Bank of Mississippi and current director for its board of directors. His previous positions include division president, executive vice president and senior vice president, all with Community Bank of North Mississippi; and vice president, assistant vice president/loan officer and internal auditor, Security Bank of Amory. Stevens, an honor graduate of Smithville High School, earned the associate’s degree from ICC where he was a member of the Hall of Fame and Student Body president; and the bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University. He is also a graduate of both the Louisiana State University and Mississippi State University Schools of Banking. ICC's Stevenson begins two-year term as MFSACC president Jessi Stevenson of Fulton, Fine Arts instructor at Itawamba Community College, has been elected as president of the Mississippi Faculty and Staff Association of Community Colleges. The Bruce native, who has been employed with ICC since 2006, teaches public speaking and theatre courses and serves as the sponsor of Communication Chiefs and the college’s Study Abroad program, The Global Experience. During her 17 years at ICC, Stevenson has received an extensive list of honors, including the NISOD award, Lamplighter, Humanities Teacher of the Year, multiple QEP Outstanding Faculty Mentor awards and the College’s highest honor, the Meritorious Achievement Award, twice. Stevenson has served as both president and vice president of the Fulton Campus Faculty and Staff Association multiple times. She earned the associate’s degree from ICC and bachelor’s and master’s degrees in communication studies, public relations and community college leadership from Mississippi State University and has graduate work from the University of Alabama in theatre arts. Previously, she taught public speaking and communication courses at Bevill State Community College in Alabama. She and her husband, Chris, are the parents ... ICC Board of Trustees elects 2024 officers Steve Coleman of Pontotoc has been elected chairman of the Itawamba Community College Board of Trustees for 2024. Other officers include Don Loden of Fulton, first vice chairman; Dr. Jerome Smith of Okolona, second vice chairman; Greg McKissick of Blue Springs, secretary; and Marilyn Sumerford of Smithville, immediate past chairman. Registration continues for summer term that begins June 29 Registration is continuing for an additional summer term, which will begin June 29 at Itawamba Community College.
