              Itawamba Community College’s Paralegal Technology program has been selected as one of the top online Paralegal degree programs in the nation by TheBestSchools.org.             It achieved a ninth-place ranking among the top 25 Best Online Paralegal Associate Programs. ICC offers two degrees in paralegal studies: an online Associate of Applied Science degree in paralegal technology and an Associate of Arts degree in general studies with a paralegal studies emphasis. • ICC schedules Legal Studies Day

              Registration is underway at Itawamba Community College for a Legal Studies Day scheduled for Apr. 14 at the David C. Cole Student Services Building on the Fulton Campus.             High school seniors are invited to explore the opportunities available through ICC’s School of Legal Studies, according to Dr. Michelle Sumerel, vice president of instructional services.             Interactive demonstrations will highlight opportunities in criminal justice, pre-law, paralegal and political science.             Check-in is scheduled for 9-9:30 a.m.             For more information or to register, email jmsumerel@iccms.edu or call (662) 862-8050.
• March 24 ICC Spring Preview Day provides opportunity for high school juniors

             High school juniors will have an opportunity to learn about student life at Itawamba Community College during Spring Preview Day, Mar. 24, from 9 a.m.-noon at the Davis Event Center on the Fulton Campus.             The schedule includes arrival and check-in, 8:15-8:50 a.m.; welcome, 9 a.m.; preview expo and campus tours, 9:15 a.m.; and optional lunch at the dining hall ($6 per additional person), noon.             The Spring Preview Day will include information about ICC’s new schools of, including academic, health science and career education programs, and participants can interact directly with faculty within the areas. The preview expo will enable prospective students to visit with programs, offices, departments and student organizations to learn more about academic and student involvement opportunities.             According to Michael Holloway, director of recruitment and orientation, Spring Preview Day is designed specifically for high school juniors to learn about all aspects of student life; however, high school seniors who have not visited ICC before may attend. • ICC offers career pathway options in October

              Registration is underway for several career pathway classes offered during October at Itawamba Community College. Both online and face-to-face options are available. Students who meet eligibility requirements may qualify for tuition assistance.             They include Electrician Assistant, a face-to-face class offered at the Belden Center. It begins Oct. 19, will meet from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, through Nov. 9.               Itawamba Community College’s Paralegal Technology program has been ranked second in the nation by College Values Online.             ICC has been identified as having one of the top most affordable accredited online paralegal certificate programs, according to ICC President Dr. Jay Allen. “The  elite ranking is a testament to the innovative programs that ICC offers as we ensure that our students have the best start in their careers.” The ranking considered tuition and return on investment.             College Values Online’s mission is to provide assistance in selecting the best college for each individual situation by offering rankings of schools and various degree programs in addition to information on numerous career options from a value perspective.
