  Itawamba Community College has scheduled several pathways classes to begin in September at the Belden Center (3200 Adams Farm Rd.).                 They include Food Management Certification, Sept. 11-Oct. 6, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. p.m.; Introduction to Welding and Cutting, Sept. 12-Oct. 12, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6-9 p.m.; Small Engine Repair Technician, Sept. 12-Nov. 2, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6-9 p.m.; and Electrician Assistant, Sept. 12-Oct. 12, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6-9p.m.                 Food Management Certification includes the essential skills needed to thrive in the restaurant and hospitality industry.   Itawamba Community College has scheduled several pathways classes to begin in August at the Belden Center (3200 Adams Farm Rd.).             They include Business Office Specialist, August 8-December 8, 5-9 p.m., Mondays and Thursdays; Certified Nursing Assistant, August 8-October 19, 5-9 p.m., Mondays and Wednesdays; EMT Basic, August 9-December 8, 5-10 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays; Google IT Support Certificate, August 8-December 8, online (self-paced) and Pharmacy Technician, August 9-December 6, Tuesdays, 6-9 p.m.             Additional opportunities are available including Human Resource Assistant, Introduction to Industrial Maintenance, Manufacturing Skills Basic Certification and Quality Improvement Associate.             For more information about all classes or to register, call (662) 407-1569 or email pathways@iccms.edu.

  Itawamba Community College has scheduled several pathways classes to begin Sept. 10 at the Belden Center (3200 Adams Farm Rd.).                 They include Electrician Assistant, Sept. 10-Oct. 10, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6-9 p.m.; Small Engine Repair, Sept. 10-Nov. 7, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6-9 p.m.; and Introduction to Welding and Cutting, Sept. 10-Oct. 10, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6-9 p.m. Electrician Assistant provides the foundational knowledge of basic math and basic safety rules; the use of hand, measuring and power tools; basic electricity and residential writing. Students can also prepare for entry-level jobs in industry or private businesses. • Registration underway for ICC pathways, continuing education classes

  Registration is underway for several pathways/continuing education classes that will begin soon at Itawamba Community College.             They include Certified Nursing Assistant, Beginning Sign Language II, Microsoft Excel for Beginners, ServSafe, ACT Prep and Forklift Operator Training.             Certified Nursing Assistant meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 5-9 p.m., Mar. 20-May 24. The program prepares participants to take the exam to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. Upon successful completion of the program and the exam, nursing assistants may find employment with nursing homes, medical centers, home healthcare providers and clinics. Becoming a CNA provides an excellent foundation for those who want to advance in the nursing profession.             Beginning Sign Language II, which meets Mondays from 6-9 p.m., Mar. 20-Apr. 17, includes the non-verbal method of communication for the deaf and hearing-impaired. The student book is included in the fee.             Microsoft Excel for Beginners meets Tuesdays from 5:30-8:30 p.m., Mar. 21-Apr. 18.               Registration is underway for several pathways classes that will begin in January at Itawamba Community College.             They include Business Office Specialist, Certified Nursing Assistant, EMT Basic, Food Service, Enhanced Forklift Operator, Google IT Support Certificate, Medical Administrative Assistant, Pharmacy Technician and Phlebotomy Technician.             Business Office Specialist will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-9:30 p.m., Jan. 11-May 5. It is designed for students to develop basic office, communication and computer technology skills. Through intensive lab instruction, students will have the opportunity to attain an Intuit Quickbooks® certification and receive training and instruction to prepare for the Microsoft Office Specialist certification for Microsoft Excel and Word. Additional instruction and training include performance of technical office tasks, basic math, fundamentals of bookkeeping and human resource management.             Certified Nursing Assistant will meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 5-9 p.m., Jan. 10-Mar. 16.
