• ICC schedules orientation sessions for students who plan to enroll for the 2021 spring semester

             Itawamba Community College has scheduled orientation sessions for students who plan to enroll for the 2021 spring semester.             Recent high school graduates are required to participate in one of the sessions, which are scheduled for Nov. 18, Dec. 10 and Jan. 6, 7 and 8, by registering at iccms.edu/orientation. Options include the Fulton and Tupelo campuses, and students can attend a session regardless of the location they plan to attend in the spring. However, all students, including adult learners, are invited.             “Among the advantages of attending an orientation session are scheduling classes early and choosing from a wide variety of options, including days, times and instructors and possibly completing the process before graduation from high school,” said Dr. Melissa Haab, dean of enrollment services. “The sessions will also provide an opportunity for adult learners to connect with an adviser and to make the transition to college less intimidating.”             During the spring semester, students may choose from five instructional delivery methods, including face-to-face, face-to-face/online hybrid, face-to-face/ZOOM hybrid, ZOOM only and online.             ICC orientation is mandatory ...

   Itawamba Community College has scheduled orientation sessions for students who plan to enroll for the 2025 spring semester.                 High school students who graduate in December are highly encouraged to participate in one of the sessions, which are scheduled for Dec. 4 at the Academic and Student Center at the Tupelo Campus and Dec. 5 at the W.O. Benjamin Fine Arts Center at the Fulton Campus at 1 p.m. each day. Students can attend a session regardless of the location they plan to attend in the spring. • ICC schedules spring 2025 Senior College sessions

  Itawamba Community College’s spring 2025 session of Senior College will kick off Jan. 15 with a presentation by Three Rivers Planning and Development District that will focus on the services they provide for individuals ages 55 and older.             According to Kelleigh Riddle, Area Agency on Aging director, the many services include Title V employment (training and locating part-time employment for eligible participants) as well as the Medicaid Waiver Division, which is a statewide program designed to offer assistance to qualified Medicaid beneficiaries.                  The Itawamba Community College Continuing Education Department has scheduled several sessions for Preparing for the ACT during the 2023 fall semester. All meet on Saturdays from 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m.                 Math and science sessions include Oct. 21 and Dec. 2. English and reading are offered Oct. 14 and Nov. 18.                 ICC’s ACT prep instructors use three intensive classroom review methods in English, reading, science reasoning and math that focus on strategies for improving test-day performance and scores. Those methods include a review of all concepts tested, tips for overcoming test anxiety and guides for “studying smart.” Those who are enrolled have an opportunity to pre-test early and post-test later in the class using full-length ACT practice tests to measure performance and practice for the testing dates. Students must bring their books to all sessions.                 The cost is $50 per session.                 Preregistration is required.
