• 2018 Pack the House

  Itawamba Community College alumni members and their families will receive free admission upon presentation of their ID to the fifth annual Pack the House, which will be Jan. 25 at the Davis Event Center at the Fulton Campus. There will also be an opportunity to meet members of ICC’s spring sports teams. ICC will play East Mississippi Community College with the women’s basketball game beginning at 6 p.m., and the men’s at 8 p.m. Additionally, ICC’s spring sports teams will participate in Meet the Tribe events. The softball and tennis teams will be recognized during halftime of the women’s game and be available for signing schedule posters; and the baseball and golf teams, during the men’s games. Area baseball and softball players wearing their team jerseys will be admitted free when accompanied by a parent. They should enter through the Davis Event Center main lobby. ICC will play Northwest with the women’s basketball game beginning at 6 p.m., and the men’s at 8 p.m. ICC’s Indianettes will perform at halftime of each game. A pregame tailgate will be available for alumni from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Davis Event Center. • Registration underway for January pathways classes at ICC

              Registration is underway for several pathways classes that will begin in January at Itawamba Community College.             They include Business Office Specialist, Certified Nursing Assistant, EMT Basic, Food Service, Enhanced Forklift Operator, Google IT Support Certificate, Medical Administrative Assistant, Pharmacy Technician and Phlebotomy Technician.             Business Office Specialist will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-9:30 p.m., Jan. 11-May 5. It is designed for students to develop basic office, communication and computer technology skills. Through intensive lab instruction, students will have the opportunity to attain an Intuit Quickbooks® certification and receive training and instruction to prepare for the Microsoft Office Specialist certification for Microsoft Excel and Word. Additional instruction and training include performance of technical office tasks, basic math, fundamentals of bookkeeping and human resource management.             Certified Nursing Assistant will meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 5-9 p.m., Jan. 10-Mar. 16. • Mississippi Speaker of the House of Representatives Jason White challenges ICC graduates in one of three commencement ceremonies

               Mississippi Speaker of the House of Representatives Jason White challenged Itawamba Community College graduates today (Friday) at the 10 a.m. commencement ceremony at the Davis Event Center at the Fulton Campus to live by the words he shared with his colleagues as they began the new term in January.  “To whom much is given, much is expected,” White said. “I would tell you graduates the same message applies as you enter this new chapter of your lives. Hurdles and challenges certainly await you; don’t get bogged down by the small things, focus on the big picture and make an impact.
