General 0 Itawamba Community College sophomore Laura Rogers of Tupelo has been selected as the recipient of the Mississippi Nurses Foundation scholarship. Selection of the $1,000 scholarship winner is based on a written essay, and applicants must be members of the Mississippi Nurses Association. Rogers is majoring in Associate Degree Nursing at ICC. A graduate of Tupelo High School, she earned the B.A. degree in psychology from the University of Mississippi, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and president of the National Honor Society for Psychology for two years. She taught preschool at the Tupelo First United Methodist Church for four years.
