Area residents among participants in upcoming ICC Practical Nursing commencement/pinning ceremony

Several area residents from Itawamba Community College’s Practical Nursing program will participate in a commencement/pinning ceremony, July 24, at noon, at the W.O. Benjamin Fine Arts Center at the Fulton Campus.

                Practical Nursing graduates include Jaylen Franks, Kayli Stanford, both of Amory; Taylor Chapman of Booneville; Kaisha Guy of Columbus; Jameelah Marshall-Daniel of Eupora; Leslie Guntharp of Fulton; Lowery Taylor of Hamilton; Jermisha Harper, Kadina Pollard, both of Guntown; Cristal Aguirre of Mooreville; Cynthia Watson of New Albany; Samantha Hendricks of Oxford; Tori Washington of Pontotoc; Sherry Bentley of Shannon; Precious Gordon of Starkville; Milah Boone, Miriam Buchanan, Whitley Davis, Jordan Herring, JaShyra Jones and Amera Price, all of Tupelo.

                Practical Nursing is a one-year (three-semester) program. Upon completion, graduates receive a Certificate of Completion and are eligible to take the N-CLEX (national board examination) to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. Dr. Lisa Pearson of Amory is the program director. Instructors include Tammy Jones of Pontotoc, Lisa McNeese of Smithville and Patricia Robbins of Mantachie.
