General 0 Itawamba Community College is hosting a Job Fair in room 509 of the Belden Conference Center (3200 Adams Farm Rd.), Nov. 11, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Participating companies, which will be available to discuss potential job opportunities, include Advanced Technology Services, APMM, Blue Springs Metals, Central Service Association, CEW, Franklin Furniture, Homestretch, International Paper, Itawamba Community College, Magnum Metals, North Mississippi Health Services, Omega Motion, Raybern Foods, Renin, Toyota and Winchester. Its innovative Senior College will begin Jan. 16 at 9 a.m. with Jack Reed Jr. hosting the kickoff. ICC, Regional Rehab Center launch innovative partnership Itawamba Community College and the Regional Rehabilitation Center have launched an innovative partnership with the addition of free adult education classes. ICC President Dr. Jay Allen and Adult Education Director Linzy Patterson and Regional Rehab Center Executive Director Robby Parman welcomed the first students to class, Jan. 5. “For ICC, we’ve had a long-standing relationship with the Regional Rehab Center, so this partnership was a no-brainer,” Allen said. “The idea was to move the needle for the communities we serve, and the Regional Rehab Center has a great ministry. The path to prosperity goes through education, and this is a tremendous opportunity to help people who did not achieve that education in high school, and we’re really good at that.” Allen said that both entities refer students and clients to each other, and over the years, ICC has hosted numerous fundraisers for the Regional Rehab Center, so this is an ideal partnership. ICC formally opens newly-renovated Student Activities Center at the Fulton Campus Itawamba Community College reopened its Student Activities Center with a formal ribbon cutting ceremony, Aug. 14, at the Fulton Campus. “It is with great pride and excitement that we gather to celebrate the opening of the newly renovated Student Activities Center,” said ICC President Dr. Jay Allen. “Just as with our recent residence hall ribbon cuttings at Monroe and Sheffield Halls, this is not just a physical transformation but a renewal of our commitment to providing a vibrant and supportive campus environment for our students.” ICC’s approximately 13,000-square-foot Student Activities Center, which opened in 1961 and the oldest building on the Fulton Campus, has had numerous facelifts over the years, but this renovation touched every aspect of the building, including a completely redesigned interior to maximize open space for seating and the addition of a new covered space on the back to provide students a place to dine in the event of inclement weather.
