• ICC schedules Enhanced Forklift Operator Training class

  Registration is underway for an Enhanced Forklift Operator Training class that is scheduled for Aug. 31 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Itawamba Community College Belden Center (3200 Adams Farm Rd.).             The class will enable individuals to receive hands-on training on three different classifications of forklifts: Standup Rider (Class 1), Order Selector (Class 2) and LP Gas Powered Sit-Down Forklift (Class 4).             Topics include the requirements of the OSHA Powered Industrial Truck Regulation 29 CFR 1910.178, safe powered industrial truck operation and how forklifts work, identification of operating hazards as well as the general principles of safe operation and how to properly inspect and maintain a forklift.             Cost is $85.             To register or more information, call (662) 407-1500 or email continuingeducation@iccms.edu.  
• ICC schedules adult education enrollment/classes for January 2025

  Itawamba Community College will enroll new adult education students in day and afternoon classes at the Belden Center, Jan. 13.                 Individuals 18 years of age and older will begin at 9 a.m., and 16-/17-year-old students, 1 p.m.                 Participants must have a photo ID, and 16-/17-year-olds should be accompanied by a parent or guardian and bring a withdrawal form from the most recent school attended. Entry into the adult education area is across from the WIN Job Center at ICC-Belden.                 Day and night classes are also offered throughout the Itawamba Community College District.   Itawamba Community College will enroll new adult education students at the Belden Center (3200 Adams Farm Rd.) with a three-day orientation session, January 11, 12 and 13.             The orientation will begin each day at 8:30 a.m. Participants must have a photo ID, and 16-/17-year-olds should be accompanied by a parent or guardian and bring a withdrawal form from the most recent school attended. • ICC schedules Food Service Pathway class to begin Apr. 4

              Itawamba Community College has scheduled a Food Service Pathway class at the Belden Center (3200 Adams Farm Rd.) beginning Apr 4.             Classes will meet Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. through Apr. 29.             The program includes Serve Safe® Food Manager Certification, Serve Safe® Alcohol Certification, CPR, certificate of completion, proper food handling standards, kitchen safety practices, culinary techniques, interview skills and résumé building, money handling and front of the house and back of the house operations. • ICC schedules eight-week eLearning, traditional classes

              Registration for eight-week eLearning and traditional classes is continuing at both the Fulton and Tupelo campuses of Itawamba Community College.             The deadline to register is Oct. 13 for the traditional term and Oct. 18 for the eLearning (online) session. Traditional classes begin Oct. 12, and online, Oct. 17.             ICC offers academic, career and technical, workforce and eLearning classes.
