General 0 Itawamba Community College will celebrate Giving Tuesday, November 28. “The holiday season is upon us, and with it comes a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students,” said Michael Upton, director of Advancement. Giving Tuesday is an opportunity for individuals, communities and organizations unite to support the causes they care about, Upton explained. “It’s a chance to make a difference, no matter how big or small, and to join a worldwide movement of generosity. At ICC we are deeply committed to provide quality education and support to our students. Giving Tuesday offers a unique opportunity for ICC to rally our community, alumni, faculty, staff and friends to join us in this mission.” More than 80 percent of ICC’s students receive some type of scholarships or financial aid, and Giving Tuesday is an opportunity to provide much-needed assistance. “Since ICC has one of the lowest tuition rates, many students start their educational journey here,” Upton said. “Our faculty and staff work diligently to provide some of the best educational opportunities in the state, and you can be a significant part of that work.” “November 28 will be a day of unity and philanthropy,” Upton noted. “Together we can achieve remarkable things.
