General 0 Members of Itawamba Community College’s spring athletic teams will be introduced at a special Meet the Indians event at 6 p.m., Jan. 18, at the Davis Event Center at the Fulton Campus. Teams include baseball, men’s and women’s basketball, golf, softball and men’s and women’s tennis. In addition, the All-American Marching Band and cheer squad will perform. The orientation will begin each day at 8:30 a.m. Participants must have a photo ID, and 16-/17-year-olds should be accompanied by a parent or guardian and bring a withdrawal form from the most recent school attended. Registration underway for January pathways classes at ICC Registration is underway for several pathways classes that will begin in January at Itawamba Community College. Business Office Specialist will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-9:30 p.m., Jan. 11-May 5. It is designed for students to develop basic office, communication and computer technology skills. Through intensive lab instruction, students will have the opportunity to attain an Intuit Quickbooks® certification and receive training and instruction to prepare for the Microsoft Office Specialist certification for Microsoft Excel and Word. Additional instruction and training include performance of technical office tasks, basic math, fundamentals of bookkeeping and human resource management. Spring semester registration continues through Jan. 13 Registration for the 2023 spring semester at Itawamba Community College will continue through Jan. 13 for traditional full-term day and night classes in the Advising Centers on both the Fulton and Tupelo campuses. Hours are 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., weekdays, in the David C. Cole Student Services Building on the Fulton Campus and Academic and Student Center on the Tupelo Campus. Traditional full-term day and first eight-week classes begin Jan. 9; and eLearning full-term and first eight-week classes, Jan. 17. The last day to add eLearning first eight-week classes is Jan. 18, and eLearning full-term classes, Jan. 20. Financial aid is available as well as adult learner scholarships. Academic, career education, eLearning (online) and workforce opportunities are available in an extensive schedule, which includes both day and evening classes at Fulton, Tupelo and Belden. Instructional delivery methods include face-to-face and online. Students may attend classes on a four-day instructional schedule to provide an opportunity for a three-day weekend. ICC will play East Mississippi Community College with the women’s basketball game beginning at 5:30 p.m., and the men’s at 7:30 p.m. Additionally, ICC’s spring sports teams, including softball, baseball, tennis and golf, will participate in Meet the Tribe events. Teams will be available for a Meet and Greet and signing autographs during the games.
