ICC to enroll new adult education students during Feb. 1-3 orientation session Itawamba Community College will enroll new adult education students with a three-day orientation session, Feb. 1-3, at the Belden Center (3200 Adams Farm Road). Each session will begin at 8:30 a.m. Participants must have a photo ID, and 16-/17-year-olds should be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Entry into the adult education area is across from the WIN Job Center at ICC-Belden. Students who plan to enroll in any of the classes offered in the ICC five-county district should attend. The schedule includes Amory – Amory WIN Center (1619 Hwy. 25 North), Tuesday and Thursday, 8 a.m.-1 p.m. and 5-8 p.m.; Belden – ICC Belden Center (3200 Adams Farm Road), Monday and Tuesday, 8 a.m.-8:30 p.m. and Wednesday and Thursday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; and ESL, Monday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. and Tuesday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and 5-8 p.m.; Fulton – Old Grammar School (603 So. ICC to enroll new adult education students during two Sept. 11 sessions Itawamba Community College will enroll new adult education students at the Belden Center during two sessions on Sept. 11. The first, which is at 9 a.m., will be for individuals who are 18 and older; and the second, at 1 p.m., will include those who are 16-/17-years-old. Participants must have a photo ID, and 16-/17-year-olds should be accompanied by a parent or guardian and bring a withdrawal form from the most recent school attended. Entry into the adult education area is across from the WIN Job Center at ICC-Belden. Day and evening classes are offered at ICC-Belden as well as in Chickasaw, Itawamba, Lee, Monroe and Pontotoc counties. There is no cost for the classes. The ESL program, Belden Center evening courses and all WIN Job Centers offer open, continuous enrollment. GED and HiSET testing is continuing on a weekly basis, and all program-enrolled students take the GED or HiSET free of charge. ICC's Diagnostic Medical Sonography class of 2025 receives diplomas during special ceremony The members of Itawamba Community College’s Diagnostic Medical Sonography class of 2025 received their diplomas during a special ceremony, July 30 at the Academic and Student Center at the Tupelo Campus. They include Emily Lopez of Belden; Stephanie Watts of Brandon; Karly Linley of Houlka; Hadley Jackson of Kossuth; Madison Gregg of Maben; Sarah Perkins of Oxford; Zoe Nastasi of Picayune and Annslee Rhea of Pontotoc. Itawamba Community College’s Diagnostic Medical Sonography is a one-year (three-semester) program. Graduates receive an Associate of Applied Science degree and are to take the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography examinations, including Principles and Instrumentation to become a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in Abdominal and Obstetrics/Gynecology. Sonographers work in hospitals, clinics, physician’s offices, women’s health centers and pediatric care centers.
