They include Lee Adams of Guntown, second place in sports photography for “Pure Joy”; second place in digital art/photo illustration for “Reed Drafted by Rangers;” first place in radio programs for “ICC vs. Northwest Football Game;” Amy Brown of Fulton, first place in digital art/photo illustration for “Residence Hall Handbook;” second place in advertisements for “Above the Bar” print ad series; Maggie Caldwell of Mantachie, grand award for “ICC Rocks;” first place in single piece of artwork – non-sports for “ICC Rocks;” first place in public relations innovation for ICC SnapChat Geofilters; second place in Web advertisements for “Change Your Future” social media ads; Allen Coleman of Tupelo, second place in public relations innovation for “ICC Mobile App;” Adam Gore of Fulton, first place in sports feature story for “Big League Dream Comes True for ICC’s Reed;” second place in public relations innovation for “ICC Mobile App;” first place in radio programs for “ICC vs. Northwest Football Game;” Raphael Henry of Tupelo, first place in radio programs for “ICC vs. Northwest Football Game;” Jim Ingram of Tupelo, first place in radio programs for “ICC vs. Northwest Football Game;” Nina Strother of Fulton, first place in digital art/photo illustration for “Residence Hall Handbook;” second place in photograph for “It Feels Good to Succeed;” second place in public relations innovation for “ICC Mobile App;” first place in exhibits for “”QEP Exhibit;” first place in sports photograph for “He’s First;” Donna Thomas of New Albany, first place in news story for “Swanson to Fly on Sofia as Part of NASA Educator Team;” and Steven West of Mantachie, second place in public relations innovation for “ICC Mobile App.” Thomas was also re-elected treasurer of the association. CPRAM is composed of public relations and public information professionals of state governmental and educational agencies including both community colleges and universities. PTK International Awards Itawamba Community College’s Phi Theta Kappa chapters received several awards at the 100th International Convention, Apr. 19-21, in Kansas City, Mo. Those for the Upsilon Sigma chapter at the Fulton Campus include Distinguished College Project, Distinguished Chapter Award and Top 100 Chapter. The Beta Tau Sigma chapter at the Tupelo Campus received the REACH award, 5-Star Chapter, Distinguished Chapter Award and Top 100 Chapter. The awards are based on writing and intensive research, service projects to the campuses and communities and leadership development. Only 50 college projects awards and 36 distinguished chapter awards are presented during the event. There are more than 1,300 chapters in Phi Theta Kappa, which recognizes academic achievement of college students and provides opportunities for them to grow as scholars and leaders.
