General 0 Registration is underway at Itawamba Community College for a class in the 2019 Society for Human Resource Management Essentials of Human Resources, which will begin Aug. 15 at the Belden Center. The class will meet on Thursdays from 6-9 p.m. through Sept. 12. It is an introductory course that offers a comprehensive overview of six key aspects of HR, including talent acquisition, total rewards, learning and development, performance management and employment law. It gives participants foundational knowledge and an introduction to behavioral competencies that are essential for business success. A SHRM certified instructor will provide subject-matter expertise, insights and guidance. The class also offers an opportunity for networking as well as for participants to begin their journey to earn certification with a structured learning experience of basic HR responsibilities.
