General 0 Itawamba Community College is offering an opportunity for students to enroll in four traditional classes during an intersession, which begins Aug. 2 and ends with final examinations on Aug. 13, prior to the beginning of the 2021 fall semester. The schedule includes English Composition I, American Literature I, College Life and Public Speaking I. All classes meet on a Monday through Friday schedule at the Fulton Campus. “Traditionally, ICC has offered classes during an intersession between the conclusion of the spring semester and the beginning of the summer semester,” said Dr. Melissa Haab, vice president of enrollment services. “These classes will enable students to enroll and complete traditional academic classes that are requirements for most associate degree programs in a compacted format. ICC offers Industrial Maintenance short-term classes The Itawamba Community College Division of Economic and Community Services is offering an opportunity for individuals to sharpen their skills and learn more about industrial maintenance with a series of short-term classes beginning Aug. 6. Classes meet at the ICC Belden Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays or Wednesdays and Fridays from 7 a.m.-4 p.m. They include Basic Electricity, Aug. 6-20; Advanced Electricity, Aug. 22-Sept. 5; PLC-RSLogix for AB 5/500/MICROLOGIX, Sept. 4-18; Mechanical Drives, Sept. 4-Oct. 4; Fluid Power, Sept. 10-Oct. 8; Electrical Control Systems, Oct. 10-24; Industrial Control Wiring, Oct. 29-Nov. 12; Control Logix System Fundamentals and Programming, Oct. 30-Nov. 13; and Troubleshooting, Nov. 14-Dec. 3. Register now for intersession, summer classes Registration is under way for intersession and summer terms at both the Fulton and Tupelo campuses of Itawamba Community College. Intersession classes begin May 13 and end with final examinations on May 24. The summer schedule includes open registration for traditional first summer/full-term classes, online full-term, and first and second four-week classes, May 24, from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. in the Student Affairs offices on both the Fulton and Tupelo campuses. Second term day class registration will be June 28. Traditional day first and full-term classes begin May 28, and online full-term and first four-week classes, June 3. Prior to open registration, students can register in the Student Affairs office in the David C. Cole Student Services Building on the Fulton Campus or in the Student Affairs office in the Student Support Center at the Tupelo Campus. ICC offers several Healthcare Provider CPR classes Registration is under way for several Healthcare Provider CPR classes at the Itawamba Community College Belden Center. Interested individuals can select from classes offered from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on June 20, July 18, Aug. 1 and 15. Participants are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis due to a limited number for each class. The class is designed for those who need to know how to perform CPR in a healthcare setting and who deal directly with patients in medical settings, both in-hospital and out-of-hospital.
