20 April ICC, Get2College to offer FAFSA assistance at Apr. 26 drive-thru event April 20, 2021 By Thomas, Donna S. General 0 Students and parents who need assistance with completion of the FAFSA form have an opportunity during a drive-thru event at the Itawamba Community College Tupelo Campus, Apr. 26, from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. in the parking lot beside the Academic and Student Center. Representatives from Get2College and ICC’s Financial Aid office will be available to assist with filing the FAFSA, State Aid application, ICC scholarships and county aid for 2021-22, according to Terry Bland, director of financial aid. “The event will be primarily to assist students and parents who, due to COVID-19, may not yet be comfortable with coming into the office,” Bland said. Tents will be set up to provide a safe, socially distanced environment. “Even if you do not think you are eligible for a Pell grant, you should still file your FAFSA in order to be considered for emergency funding, which is available from the U.S. Department of Education,” he noted. Since limited spots are available, participants must register at www.iccms.edu/FAFSADriveThru. For more information on the event, email finaid@iccms.edu or call (662) 620-5319.
