29 March Knowlton to perform, judge at Indians Got Talent finale March 29, 2019 By Thomas, Donna S. General 0 Itawamba Community College alumnus Landen Knowlton of Tupelo, winner of the College’s Indian Idol in 2014, will return to his alma mater Apr. 2 to be a guest judge and performer during the finale of Indians Got Talent. The event will be in the W.O. Benjamin Fine Arts Center auditorium at the Fulton Campus at 7 p.m. Most recently, Knowlton was featured on American Idol. He is a singer-songwriter in a quiet reserved coffee shop sort of way. Instead, his lyrics throw punches, and his melodies conquer the heart. He knows what it is like to sing his Americana tunes to the walls, but his persistence and talent have taken him from coast to coast. Through opening for accomplished performers, including Dylan Schneider, Knowlton discovered what it takes to create well-crafted songs that connect with toddlers, boomers and everyone in between. Since 2013, Knowlton has written and released two main bodies of work, “Astronaut” E.P. and “Friendly Conversations” Live Album, and most recently, a single entitled “Drink with Me” that has had success on country radio. While continually writing and performing, Knowlton supported other artists by promoting their concerts and setting up events for eager fans. Knowlton’s grown understanding of the business side of music and his military service have made his appreciation for live performing exponentially increase, which could only be matched by his yearning to deliver quality entertainment to every audience he encounters. Admission to the finale is free. For more information on the Indians Got Talent finale, contact Jake Hartfield, coordinator of Student Activities, at jchartfield@iccms.edu.
