General 0 Registration is underway for Itawamba Community College’s “Seussmania Drama Camp,” which is scheduled for June 3-7 from 9 a.m.-noon at the W.O. Benjamin Fine Arts Center auditorium at the Fulton Campus. The camp includes classes and performances of “The Lorax,” “Hunches in Bunches,” “Green Eggs and Ham” and “The Sneetches.” Students who are leaving second through eighth grade are eligible to participate. Registration underway for ICC Summer Band Camp Registration is under way for the 2021 Itawamba Community College Summer Band Camp, which will be June 20-25. The camp is designed for those interested in furthering their music education, strengthening their leadership skills and creating lifelong friendships, according to director Ryan Todd. Since 1981, the camp has hosted more than 16,000 students from all over the United States. It is regarded as one of the finest summer band camps in the Mid-South. Instruction includes general courses for all campers, drum majors, color guard and percussion. The registration deadline is May 15. Registration underway at ICC for Basic Construction, HR Assistant pathways Registration is underway at Itawamba Community College for two Pathway programs that are scheduled to begin in October at the Belden Center (3200 Adams Farm Rd.). They are Basic Construction and Human Resource Assistant. Basic Construction, which will meet Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. from Oct. 18-29, includes construction math, power and hand tools, construction site safety, construction drawings, employability, communication skills and introduction to material handling. The Pathway to Employment in Construction program is a nationally-recognized certification for Construction Core designed by the National Center for Construction Education and Research. Successful participants who pass the examination will be eligible for entry-level construction jobs. Human Resource Assistant will meet Thursdays from 6-9 p.m., Oct. 7-Nov. 4. The program prepares individuals to work closely with the human resources supervisor to perform routine personnel-related, recruitment and/or onboarding work. It is ideal for someone who would like to enter the human resources and/or talent management field.
