• Completion bonus available for high school equivalency credential at ICC between now and Dec.14

              Those who need to earn a high school equivalency credential (GED or HiSET) can do so at Itawamba Community College between now and Dec. 14 and receive a $100 completion bonus.             Classes are available through the ICC Adult Education program in Chickasaw, Itawamba, Lee, Monroe and Pontotoc counties.             Those who are interested can call 662.407.1538.
• ICC to partner with Get2College to offer onsite assistance with FAFSA completion

  Itawamba Community College is partnering with Get2College to provide onsite assistance with FAFSA completion, July 17 and 18.             Times and locations are from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., July 17, Academic and Student Center room 231, Tupelo Campus; and July 18, Boggs Humanities Building room 103, Fulton Campus.             The sessions are designed to assist current and incoming students with FAFSA questions and form completion.             Appointments are preferred, according to Terry Bland, director of Financial Aid at ICC, but walk-ins will be accommodated. • Skills That Pay awards $1,000 bonuses to 12 Northeast MS students

  Twelve students from across Northeast Mississippi were recognized Thursday at Itawamba Community College as recipients of the Skills That Pay “Signing Bonus,” earning $1,000 each as they take the next step into high-demand skilled careers. The regional signing ceremony celebrated students who have committed to entering the workforce in fields such as welding, construction, utilities, and manufacturing.               Itawamba Community College is offering an opportunity to assist prospective students with completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.             Students in ICC’s five-county district can make appointments with a financial aid adviser on designated dates, while home-schooled students and adult learners have an option to sign up on Dec. 16. • Financial aid plans area events

  Representatives of Itawamba Community College’s financial aid department will be available at area high schools in a series of FAFSA Completion days and Parent Nights during October and November. Parent Night, which is usually a one-hour event, is an overview of what is available in financial aid as well as information about housing, admissions and all of ICC’s applications, according to Terry Bland, ICC financial aid director. The FAFSA Completion Day consists of 30-minute sessions one-on-one with a financial aid counselor. Assistance will be provided with application for federal, state and county aid as well as answering questions.
