ICC kicks off Senior College, Aug. 20

Itawamba Community College’s fall 2025 session of Senior College will kick off Aug. 20 with a presentation by longtime Itawamba Community College coach and athletic director Carrie Ball-Williamson of Pontotoc, who will share her journey. Highlights include her experiences, athletic leadership and the impact of sports on student success.

“ICC’s Senior College is designed for those who are retired and looking for something fun to do,” said Josh Gammill, director of Continuing Education. “The sessions offer wonderful opportunities for community members to learn more about topics specific to our area, stay active in the community and engage with other participants who share the same enthusiasm and zest for life and learning as they do.”

Additional dates include Sept. 24, road trip to the Tammy Wynette Legacy Center in Tremont, where participants will view an exhibit that traces the life of the “First Lady of Country Music,” have a southern-style lunch and enjoy entertainment from local musicians; Oct. 22, “Craft and Giggles,” a lighthearted session focused on hands-on crafting; Nov. 12, ICC’s Director of Mental Health Services Angelia Herring will address “Mental Health through the Holidays,” and Dec. 10, graduation party to celebrate the semester with food, games and holiday activities.

Sessions meet at the ICC Belden Center (3200 Adams Farm Rd.) from 10 a.m.-noon. Cost is $30 per person or $50 per couple per semester. The first session is free.
