22 March ICC postpones dinner theatre March 22, 2020 By DNN HOST General 0 Itawamba Community College has postponed its production of “Over the River and Through the Woods,” which was scheduled Mar. 23-28, as a result of the recommendation by the Center for Disease Control and the Mississippi State Department of Health to delay gatherings of 50 or more individuals. “This decision was difficult to make because we are aware of the many hours spent in rehearsal and preparation by the cast, crew and director for this very special event,” said ICC President Dt. Jay Allen. “It is our hope that the ‘show will go on’ at a later time!” Related Articles Dinner theatre ticket deadline is Mar. 20 Itawamba Community College will present “Over the River and Through the Woods,” with dinner beginning at 6:30 p.m., Mar. 26-28, in the banquet rooms of the David C. Cole Student Services Building at the Fulton Campus. The Joe DiPietro comedy is about a lively Italian family, which focuses on Nick and his decision to move away from his grandparents or stay in New York. To sweeten the deal to stay, the relatives have a plan…invite a pretty girl to dinner. ICC to present dinner theatre Itawamba Community College will present “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer,” by Laura Eason, adapted from the novel by Mark Twain, Mar. 7-9, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the band hall on the Fulton Campus. Members of the cast include Kalei Powell of Amory; Eddie Caveness of Booneville; Grace Polite of Cordova, Tenn.; Valerie Blake of Fulton; Marcie Bacchus of Horn Lake; Abel Potter of Pontotoc; and Scott Gailor, Ruthann Morgan, Jasmine Raden, all of Tupelo. Stage managers are director Dr. Laurie McBride of Fulton and Bacchus. ICC to sponsor innovative dinner and demo series in October Itawamba Community College will sponsor a dinner and demo series at three Tupelo restaurants beginning Oct. 12 at 4:30 p.m. at Forklift with chef Cooper Miller. Additional sessions are scheduled for 5:30 p.m., October 17, at Neon Pig with chef Brooke Ramsey and at 6 p.m., Oct. 24, at Park Heights with chef Tom Lester. “The chefs at each location will provide a demonstration related to the dinner preparation, which will follow,” according to Josh Gammill, ICC director of Continuing Education, which is cosponsoring the series with the Food Management Certification pathway. “The three local restaurants and their executive chefs have created a unique interactive experience for participants,” Gammill said. Limited seating is available.
