ICC adds Associate Degree Nursing honor society Itawamba Community College ‘s Associate Degree Nursing students who qualify will now have an opportunity to participate in an honor society associated with the Organization for Associate Degree Nursing, according to Dr. Dana Walker, program director. “The addition of an Alpha Delta Nu chapter offers a unique opportunity to acknowledge the academic distinction of our nursing students,” Walker said. Its mission is to recognize academic excellence and encourage the pursuit of advanced degrees as well as foster lifelong learning.” Currently ICC nursing students can join the Mississippi Organization for Associate Degree Nursing Students, which is the student organization affiliated with Mississippi’s chapter of OADN. IHL data shows ICC graduates continue to excel at university level Data received from Mississippi’s Institutions of Higher Learning shows students who graduate from Itawamba Community College and transfer to a university receive their degree with a grade point average above the state average. ICC schedules Enhanced Forklift Operator Training class Registration is underway for an Enhanced Forklift Operator Training class that is scheduled for Aug. 31 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Itawamba Community College Belden Center (3200 Adams Farm Rd.). The class will enable individuals to receive hands-on training on three different classifications of forklifts: Standup Rider (Class 1), Order Selector (Class 2) and LP Gas Powered Sit-Down Forklift (Class 4).
