ICC formally reopens W.O. Benjamin Fine Arts Center Itawamba Community College formally reopened the newly-renovated W.O. Benjamin Fine Arts Center at the Fulton Campus during a ribbon cutting, Apr. 20. Renovations began in the fall of 2021 to restore the decades-old 24,000-square-foot facility, which had not received any major work since it was built in 1978. With upgrades to almost every inch of the facility, the state-of-the-art auditorium, lecture space, exhibit hall and lobby now boast modern designs that are more inviting to guests. ICC schedules E1-Electricity class at Belden Center Registration is underway at the Itawamba Community College Belden Center for an E1 – electricity class that is scheduled for June 6-9 from 7 am.-3:30 p.m. The class provides instruction in the basic laws, formulas and principles of electrical theory. Topics covered are AC and DC voltage, current and resistance measuring techniques, electrical safety in the work environment, basic electrical circuits, electrical measurements, circuit analysis, inductance and capacitance, combination circuits, transformers and multimeters. May 30 application deadline for ICC selective admission programs May 30 is the deadline for application for four selective admission programs at Itawamba Community College. They include electrical, industrial maintenance, robotics and automation and welding. All are taught at the ICC Belden Center (3200 Adams Farm Road). Selective admission programs have a limited number of openings each year and have specific entry-level admission requirements that must be met before selection for admission to the program. ICC selected among 25 semifinalists nationwide for prestigious Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence Today, Itawamba Community College was selected among the 25 semifinalists for the Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, a milestone in the award selection process.
